Girls (can) play in these leagues, on tournament teams and in tournaments around the USA – the World:
Little League, Inc. – Girls are accepted in both Baseball and Softball divisions: if a girl prefers Baseball she does not have to play in the Softball division. This is the case until 18, when all players age out of the Little League system.

member organizations of the National Youth Baseball Championship (NYBC) – in association with Major League Baseball as Nations’ Youth: Each organization is more involved in one community or another around the USA. While Little League is generally available nation- and world-wide, AAU may be predominant in one part of the country while USSSA may be in another. The NYBC attempts to unify all of the member organizations into one Summer tournament opportunity where each league can play against each other. Nations Baseball is the newest organization to offer Baseball tournaments throughout the USA. You can find teams available to play on on the Nations Baseball web site.

and instruction for girls age 9-14. Girls will be evaluated for

Girls’ Baseball Clinic with Coach Justine Siegal, Dec. 18th (Upper West Side)
Hey, young ladies! Has the dreary winter weather got you wishing it were baseball season again? If so, you won’t want to miss this special event! All girls ages 9-17 are invited to come and get some off-season training from one of the most well-regarded women’s baseball coaches in the country. Join Justine Siegal (pictured), the first woman to coach a men’s professional baseball team and the founder of Baseball For All (www.baseballforall.com), for an evening of hitting instruction. You’ll also find out about the New York Gothamettes (www.gothamettes.com), a new baseball league for girls in New York!
When: December 18th, 7pm – 8pm
Where: The Baseball Center, 202 W. 74th Street, NYC
Cost: $25 (discount given for two or more participants in the same family)
