Newton (Mass) native Marti Sementelli was the only New Englander selected to the 2018 Women’s National Baseball Team roster. The right-handed pitcher is one of 25 players who will compete in the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) Women’s Baseball World Cup in Viera, Florida, from August 22-31. 2018 marks the first time the event will be held in the United States.
